Backpacking Trip at Philmont Scout Ranch

The date of this trip is 8/11 – 21.  There are still spaces available for the backpack trip to Philmont Scout Ranch (located in New Mexico).  You must be 14 and an experienced backpacker.  Philmont is the most famous and popular scout camp in the world.  It took our troop 2 years to secure our reservations.  We will be offering our open slots to other troops shortly, so if you have not committed, you may be left out.  For more information contact Matt Barrows at 310-376-3350.

Alternate Long Term Backpacking Trip

The dates are TBR for this trip, but will probably be just after the summer camp to Forest Lawn(8/13-8/20).  This trip is being planned for scouts under 14 with less experience.  It will probably be held in the Sierras, 5-7 days and 35-45 miles.  For more information contact Mario DiSandro.
